Six New Jersey residents land on Forbes 2026 World’s Billionaires List

While tech titans and global heirs dominated the headlines of the newly released Forbes 2026 Billionaires List, the Garden State has made its own mark on the world stage. Six New Jersey residents have officially secured spots among the 3,428 wealthiest people on the planet, with their fortunes collectively reaching record-breaking heights.

Leading the charge for New Jersey is John Overdeck, whose $8 billion net worth makes him the richest person in the state. From high-finance quantitative strategists to a rock-and-roll icon, the 2026 cohort reflects the diverse industries that drive New Jersey’s economic influence.

The Garden State’s billionaire class is largely anchored in the finance and technology sectors, with residential hubs located in Essex, Bergen and Mercer counties.

NJ Rank Name Global Rank Net Worth Source of Wealth Residence
1 John Overdeck #455 $8.0B Two Sigma (Quantitative Finance) Millburn
2 Peter Kellogg #780 $5.4B Finance (Spear, Leeds & Kellogg) Short Hills
3 Brian Venturo #1,325 $3.2B CoreWeave (Cloud Computing/AI) Cedar Grove
4 Larry Robbins #1,913 $2.2B Glenview Capital Management Alpine
5 Duncan MacMillan #2,274 $1.8B Bloomberg LP (Financial Media) Princeton
6 Bruce Springsteen #3,017 $1.2B Music / “The Boss” Colts Neck

Overdeck, co-founder of Two Sigma, continues his reign as the state’s wealthiest resident. His firm, which manages roughly $60 billion in assets, is a leader in using machine learning and data science to drive investments. Meanwhile, Peter Kellogg remains a permanent fixture on the list, a legacy of his 2000 sale of Spear, Leeds & Kellogg to Goldman Sachs for $6.5 billion.

Representing New Jersey’s tech future, Brian Venturo has seen a rapid ascent. As a co-founder of the Livingston-based CoreWeave, his wealth has been supercharged by the global demand for AI infrastructure. His company’s valuation surged following massive supply deals with tech giants like Meta and Microsoft.

Perhaps the most famous name on the list is Bruce Springsteen. “The Boss” officially solidified his billionaire status following the historic 2021 sale of his music catalog to Sony for $500 million, combined with five decades of world-class touring and recording.

While the record list saw many gains, the New Jersey business community noted the absence of Rocco Commisso. The former CFO of Cablevision and founder of Mediacom, who was previously ranked among the state’s top three wealthiest men, passed away in January 2026, marking the end of a long legacy in New Jersey telecommunications.
