Following a transformative 2025 that saw the opening of 77 new locations and the awarding of nearly 300 more, Moonachie-based Paris Baguette is set to take center stage at the Multi-Unit Franchising Conference (MUFC) in Las Vegas this week.
The global bakery-café brand—which now operates over 290 units across North America—is looking to capitalize on its massive momentum. The conference, running from March 24–27, serves as a premier gathering for high-growth multi-unit owners and industry leaders.
For CEO Darren Tipton, the conference is less about simple expansion and more about maintaining the brand’s cultural integrity as it scales. Paris Baguette has pivoted toward a “franchise-first” model, emphasizing that the brand’s success is rooted in the satisfaction and alignment of its local owners.
“As a growing brand, it’s essential that we remain connected throughout our system and with other leaders in the industry,” Tipton said. “MUFC gives us an opportunity to highlight Paris Baguette as a leader in the industry and a prime opportunity for skilled multi-unit owners looking to grow their portfolios.”
Throughout the event, Paris Baguette leadership and owners will participate in workshops and panels focused on the evolving landscape of the hospitality industry. Key topics on the agenda include:
- The Modern Guest Experience: Redefining value for today’s discerning consumers.
- Operational Profitability: Strategies for maintaining margins in a fluctuating economy.
- Financing for Growth: Navigating the capital requirements of rapid, multi-unit expansion.
While Paris Baguette boasts more than 4,000 units worldwide, its North American presence is managed right from Bergen County. Since first franchising in the U.S. in 2015, the brand has positioned itself as a unique hybrid: a bakery-café with the scale of a global giant but the neighborhood appeal of a local “cakerie.”
Visitors to the conference will find the Paris Baguette team showcasing their elevated café design and—in true bakery fashion—handing out free samples to prospective franchisees.
