Verisk, a Jersey City-based leader in data analytics and technology for the insurance industry, on Tuesday announced that Raja Sengupta has been named president of its Life Solutions business, effective immediately.
Sengupta takes the helm at a pivotal time for the sector, as life and annuity insurers increasingly turn to high-velocity data and artificial intelligence to modernize traditional workflows.
In his new role, Sengupta will lead the Life Solutions team in delivering a suite of software and AI-powered tools designed to:
- Accelerate Underwriting: Reducing the time it takes to move from application to policy issuance.
- Enhance Decision-Making: Utilizing predictive analytics for more accurate risk assessment at the individual and portfolio levels.
- Improve Customer Experience: Modernizing the interface between insurers and policyholders through digital-first solutions.
Sengupta brings over 20 years of experience scaling complex enterprise software in highly regulated industries. He most recently served as Executive Vice President and General Manager at Wolters Kluwer, where he was instrumental in embedding agentic AI and intelligent agents into client workflows to speed up development and market entry. His prior experience also includes a tenure as General Manager of Global Merchant Financing at American Express.
