Privia Health expands national footprint into New Jersey via landmark partnership

Privia Health Group, Inc., a prominent national physician enablement company, has officially announced its entry into the New Jersey health care market. The move marks the 25th state to join the company’s expanding primary care-centric delivery network.

To anchor its newly formed subsidiary, Privia Medical Group—New Jersey, the company has signed a definitive agreement to partner with the Neurology Group of Bergen County (NGBC)—one of the largest and most well-respected independent neurology practices in the Northeast, featuring a roster of 25 adult and pediatric clinicians.

The NGBC clinical team is expected to fully transition onto the unified Privia Platform by the end of 2026.

Through this state expansion, Privia Health aims to provide community-based independent clinicians across New Jersey with an alternative operational framework. The platform equips local doctors to successfully manage patients across diverse reimbursement structures, utilizing interoperable technology solutions and specialized population health management data to improve clinical outcomes.

“We are thrilled to welcome Neurology Group of Bergen County into our network,” Jason Ross, executive vice president of Medical Groups at Privia Health said. “NGBC is one of the largest and most respected independent neurology practices in the Northeast, with an exceptional team and a decades-long track record of delivering outstanding patient outcomes. We look forward to supporting the NGBC team as they continue to serve the Bergen County community.”

For the Neurology Group of Bergen County, the corporate alliance offers a defensive and progressive strategy to combat rising administrative burdens while maintaining their clinical autonomy.

“Partnering with Privia was the right next step for our practice and, most importantly, for our patients. They share our commitment to clinical excellence and the kind of personalized, compassionate care we’ve built over the past 50 years,” said NGBC physician John T. Nasr, M.D. “This partnership gives us the resources and support to expand access to high-quality neurological care across our community, while preserving the independent culture that has defined NGBC.”
