Deborah Heart and Lung Center was recently awarded $847,000 in federal funding to integrate state-of-the-art hemodynamic monitoring systems into its cardiac electrophysiology labs.
The capital injection will allow the specialized hospital to replace its legacy monitoring equipment with next-generation CardioLab Hemodynamic Recording and Monitoring Systems. This technology empowers clinicians to precisely track and analyze a patient’s vital signs and hemodynamic parameters—including real-time blood pressure, blood flow, and oxygen levels within the heart—during complex, invasive cardiac interventions.
The newly acquired CardioLab systems deliver advanced visualization tools that are critical for diagnosing and treating complex cardiac arrhythmias (irregular heartbeats). Beyond surgical precision, the infrastructure upgrade streamlines lab workflows by providing comprehensive data analysis and centralized digital data management during active operations.
The laboratory expansion directly supports Deborah’s historical mission to care for vulnerable populations. A significant portion of Deborah’s patient base resides in rural, historically underserved pockets of southern and central New Jersey that track below-average regional health outcomes.
By boosting the throughput and clinical capacity of its electrophysiology labs, the hospital aims to drastically reduce wait times and expand access to top-tier cardiovascular care.
“This funding reinforces Deborah’s ongoing commitment to improving cardiac care by offering the latest technological advances available, contributing to greater access to high-quality care,” the hospital administration noted in a statement.
An official check presentation marked the federal allocation, highlighting the collaborative effort between federal legislators and regional health care networks to modernize local medical infrastructure.
