TerraCycle names Ramy Elsisi as chief financial officer

TerraCycle Inc., the Trenton-based recycling company, has appointed Ramy Elsisi as chief financial officer.

Elsisi brings more than 20 years of global finance experience, most recently as CFO and chief operating officer at Adheretech. He previously held leadership positions at Otsuka Pharmaceutical Companies, Johnson & Johnson, Merck and Bayer.

“TerraCycle has built a unique platform through innovation, investment, and acquisition, and I am excited to be a part of shaping the company’s next chapter,” Elsisi said in a press release. “My focus will be on strengthening our financial foundation while maximizing the value created by our growth initiatives.”

Elsisi will play a key role in TerraCycle’s global financial strategy, including the company’s Regulation A investment offering. TerraCycle, which recycles cigarette butts, flip flops and other materials that otherwise end up in the trash, announced a $75 million offering in April.

“Ramy’s experience building financial discipline into fast-growing global organizations gives us exactly what we need as we scale our operations, sharpen our capital strategy, and integrate new acquisitions,” Tom Szaky, TerraCycle founder and CEO, said.
