Newark-based AllShifts, a leading nurse talent marketplace, has announced the launch of its new Travel Nurse Staffing program. The initiative is designed to complement the company’s existing per diem services by placing licensed nurses on longer-term assignments, ranging from four to 26 weeks.
The new program aims to address staffing shortages at long-term care facilities, particularly those in rural or less populated areas where the local talent pool may not be sufficient to meet demand. By providing access to skilled nurses who are willing to travel, AllShifts helps these facilities secure reliable, long-term coverage.
“Our business depends on balancing the supply of nurses with the facilities that need them,” said AllShifts CEO Paul Ruderman. “In communities where the local market can’t meet demand, Travel Nursing closes the gap with highly vetted professionals. Any facility, anywhere, can now tap the country’s top nursing talent—no matter where those clinicians live.”
The Travel Nurse Staffing model offers a transparent and straightforward approach for facilities. They pay the clinician’s standard rate plus a housing stipend of their choosing, with no finder’s fees or agency premiums. This model is designed to be more sustainable for facilities grappling with rising labor costs.
While AllShifts’ per diem network remains the go-to for last-minute shift coverage, the new program extends that same speed and rigor to longer assignments. This helps facilities protect residents, support permanent staff, and strengthen their long-term health by ensuring consistent and qualified nursing care.
