All-star lineup set for Unanue Institute’s Generaciones Gala 2025

Event, on Oct. 17 at Cipriani Wall Street, aims to raise money for additional scholarships, programming

An all-star lineup of history makers, barrier breakers and movers and shakers will attend Generaciones Gala 2025 — an event aimed at celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Joseph A. Unanue Latino Institute.

The celebrity gala, to be held Oct. 17 at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City, will support future programming and scholarships for the institute, which is housed at Seton Hall University.

Institute Executive Director Lori Tarke said the event will honor the legacy of the past while looking to the future — featuring Latino stars in health care, finance, law, accounting, entertainment, sports, the military and more. And it will include some current students who participate in the institute — after all, the event is for them, Tarke said.

“It’s a unifying celebration to support the next generation,” she said. “It’s important for students to see these success stories in person. Our hope is that it will inspire them to greater heights.”

The event will feature live performances, a silent and live auction, and dancing to celebrate Celia Cruz’s 100th birthday with Jessy Diaz and Tito Puente Jr.

Tarke said it will be a fun night of networking and celebrating with influential leaders and friends of Seton Hall university for a meaningful cause.

“JAULI awards approximately 45 scholarships annually, empowering students of all backgrounds and across Seton Hall University to succeed,” she said. “Our alumni thrive in prestigious, varied careers at Morgan Stanley, PWC, Goldman Sachs, numerous law firms, hospitals, government and more.

“The money raised at the gala will enable us to expand our scholarship pool by an additional 25 awards so that we can help even more students overcome financial challenge of attending college.”
