DLA has appointed Andrew Shinn as partner within its Private Equity vertical, the group announced Monday.
In this new role, Shinn will report to Jim Hines, Head of the Private Equity vertical, and will help advance DLA’s Private Equity Advisory services, working alongside Hines to strengthen the firm’s ability to support private equity firms and their portfolio companies.
He will also be responsible for integrating the firm’s accounting outsourcing and internal audit expertise to deliver comprehensive transactions and operational support.
Before joining DLA, Shinn served as COO of Freehold Healthcare, CFO of Ursa Major Technologies, and partner at PAG.
DLA CEO David Landau praised his experience.

Shinn brings over 25 years of experience in private equity, strategic finance, and operational leadership, with past stops at The Carlyle Group, Morgan Stanley Capital Partners, and FRC Capital

The team delivers expertise across the investment lifecycle—from pre-acquisition due diligence and valuation to post-acquisition integration, operational improvement, and financial governance.
