Founded in 1908 as the Princeton Summer Camp by Princeton University students and faculty to provide underserved youth with enriching outdoor experiences.
Mission/vision
PBC is an independent nonprofit organization that provides equity and access to outdoor education opportunities for all young people to nurture their social and emotional skills through experiential and adventure-based programming.
Key Programs
- Summer Bridge: A multiweek summer program focused on academic enrichment and emotional growth, provided at no cost to participants.
- Leader-in-Training: Prepares teens for leadership roles through mentorship and skill-building, and provides a $1,000 stipend upon completion.
- Venture Out: Outdoor environmental education curriculum for schools and organizations.
Biggest Event/Fundraiser
Soirée Under the Stars, an annual gala that celebrates PBC’s mission and raises critical funds for youth programming.

PBC is grateful to individual donors, foundations and corporate partners. While many choose anonymity, their generosity sustains transformative programming year-round.

PBC operates at Blair Academy, a stunning 268-acre campus near the Delaware Water Gap, offering immersive nature-based learning for groups from across the area.
