A new affordable housing lottery has opened for Cornerstone at Hainesport, a 72-unit apartment community in Burlington County. The developer, Walters, is now accepting applications for the income-restricted apartments, which are located on Creek Road near the Mount Laurel border. The lottery is set to close on Oct. 16, with a drawing scheduled for Oct. 29.
High-quality living for income-restricted families
The new community, which is still under construction, will feature six buildings with a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments. All homes will be restricted to households earning 60% or less of the area’s median income. The complex is designed to meet LEED and ENERGY STAR certifications, reflecting a commitment to sustainable building practices.
Residents will have access to an impressive list of amenities, including a fitness center, children’s tot lot, basketball court, and a community clubhouse with computer workstations. Each apartment will also include in-unit washers and dryers. The development aims to provide high-quality, affordable living options in a prime location with convenient access to major highways and nearby cities like Philadelphia and Trenton.
A look at the new community
“We’re proud to be investing in the Hainesport community, and creating a brighter future for residents,” Joe Del Duca, a partner and director of Affordable Housing for Walters said. The project is a part of Walters’ ongoing efforts to provide affordable housing throughout New Jersey. The company, based in Barnegat, has a long history of developing both income-restricted and market-rate properties in the state.
