Woodbridge-based NAI DiLeo-Bram & Co. recently welcomed its newest associate, Sweemit Goswami, who is focusing on industrial property acquisitions, dispositions and leasing across Northern and Central New Jersey.
Currently enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student at Rutgers University with a concentration in real estate and supply chain logistics, he previously served as an intern with the firm.
“Sweemit’s interest in commercial real estate was immediately apparent and he is an extremely motivated person,” David Simon, NAIDB’s chief operating officer said. “It is enjoyable helping and training people who want to learn and who have a visible interest in the CRE industry.”
Goswami is pursuing a double major in Finance and Supply Chain Management, with a concentration in Real Estate. He received his New Jersey real estate license late last year and has completed rigorous studies through the Rutgers Center for Real Estate, including coursework in Real Estate Law.
His path to NAIDB began as an intern assisting a team of experienced professionals. Previously, he was exposed to CRE at another firm that provided him with initial experience in investment sales. Inspired early on by his father’s work in real estate development, Goswami was drawn to the dynamic, problem-solving nature of the industry.
Looking ahead, Goswami’s goals include arranging and handling the entire transaction lifecycle, from conception to completion; developing innovative real estate solutions for local and corporate entities; and contributing to NAIDB’s growth and success.
“You never know what you like until you try it. If you’re even slightly interested in commercial real estate – just try it,” Goswami said. “Early exposure and experience can open a lot of doors that ultimately lead to a fulfilling career. For me, a profession where no two days or deals are exactly alike is appealing to me.”
