Princeton Equity Group, a private equity firm focused on franchisor and multi-location businesses, announced the appointment of Paul Kuppich as partner. In this new role, Kuppich will oversee the firm’s capital formation and overall strategy, while also serving as general counsel.
The appointment of Kuppich, who has a strong background in fundraising and investor relations, underscores Princeton’s commitment to expanding its platform and strengthening its relationships with investors. Prior to joining Princeton, Kuppich was a managing director at Piper Sandler. He previously co-founded Aviditi Advisors, where he was instrumental in building investor relationships and originating new mandates. He also held positions at the Credit Suisse Private Fund Group and began his career as an attorney at Weil, Gotshal & Manges.
“Paul has been a trusted advisor to Princeton since our early days, and we are thrilled to welcome him to the partnership,” Jim Waskovich, managing partner at Princeton Equity Group said. “His track record in fundraising and investor relations, combined with his strategic perspective, will be invaluable as we continue to scale our platform and pursue new opportunities.”
Doug Kennealey, also a managing partner, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing Kuppich’s alignment with the firm’s core values. “Paul brings a true partnership mindset and a deep understanding of what matters most to institutional investors,” Kennealey said. “Equally important, he shares our values of collaboration, humility, and long-term business building—qualities that are central to Princeton’s culture and success.”
Kuppich expressed his enthusiasm for the new role, stating, “Princeton is an increasingly recognized leader in the franchisor and multi-location space. I am excited to join this exceptional team and contribute to building enduring value for our companies and investors through a commitment to innovation, hard work, and character.”
