Signature Acquisitions announced that its premier 11-story office property at 500 Plaza Drive in Secaucus has crossed a major leasing milestone, surpassing 75% occupancy following a flurry of first-quarter activity.
The 465,000-square-foot building, located within the walkable Harmon Meadow complex, saw 145,000 square feet of leasing transactions in Q1 2026. This surge underscores the enduring demand for high-quality, amenity-rich suburban office space with direct access to New York City.
The centerpiece of the recent leasing activity is a major commitment from Quest Diagnostics. The global medical diagnostics leader signed a long-term extension for its 131,000-square-foot headquarters, anchoring the building’s tenant roster.
Other notable new arrivals include:
- Retarus: The German software firm is relocating its primary North American office to an 8,700-square-foot suite.
- NJEA (New Jersey Education Association): Consolidating several regional offices into a single 7,300-square-foot space.
“The decision of Quest’s leadership to renew is a testament to our success at providing a responsive, white-glove level of service in a walkable location that isn’t commonly found in the suburban office landscape,” Sandy Monaghan, senior vice president of Signature Acquisitions said.
Acquired by Signature Acquisitions in 2025, 500 Plaza Drive is positioned as a “trophy” asset just four miles from Manhattan. The property benefits from its proximity to the Lincoln Tunnel, the NJ Turnpike, and Route 3, while offering tenants a “city-lite” experience with neighborhood retail, dining, and hotels.
