Camden-based Holtec Nuclear files for IPO to fuel advanced SMR and clean energy expansion

Holtec Nuclear Corporation has publicly filed a Form S-1 registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for a proposed initial public offering (IPO) of its Class A common stock.

The Camden-headquartered clean energy and technology company intends to list its shares on both The Nasdaq Stock Market and Nasdaq Texas under the ticker symbol “HNUC.”

While the exact number of shares and the initial pricing range have not yet been finalized, the announcement signals major momentum for the nuclear energy sector. The offering is subject to prevailing market conditions.

Reflecting strong institutional interest in next-generation nuclear technology, the IPO has secured a heavy-hitting lineup of Wall Street underwriters.

  • Joint Lead Book-Running Managers: J.P. Morgan, Guggenheim Securities, Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC, Citigroup, and BofA Securities.
  • Joint Book-Running Managers: Morgan Stanley, Cantor, BMO Capital Markets, and Oppenheimer & Co.

Holtec’s transition to the public markets comes as the company advances several high-profile clean energy initiatives. Most notably, the company is the owner and developer of the SMR-300, an advanced small modular reactor that utilizes passive safety systems.

Meanwhile, Holtec is also making history by leading the refurbishment of the Palisades Nuclear Power Plant. The project marks the first time in United States history that a commercial nuclear reactor is being repowered and brought back online following a permanent shutdown. Holtec is already the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) authorized operator for the site.

Holtec’s extensive industrial footprint extends across five continents, serving a global client base of more than 150 nuclear reactors. The company’s vertically integrated technical capabilities span reactor design, manufacturing, licensing, construction, and eventual decommissioning.
