Princeton-based Clearway Energy, Inc. announced a series of senior executive appointments, effective Oct. 1, aimed at advancing the company’s financial stewardship and driving operational technology initiatives.
Sarah Rubenstein, current chief financial officer of Clearway Energy, Inc., will transition into a new executive position at parent entity Clearway Energy Group LLC (“Clearway Group”) as Head of the Transformation Office. In her new role, Rubenstein will spearhead digital and data transformation programs, focusing on integrating AI and automation technologies to boost scalability and operational efficiency.
Succeeding Rubenstein as Clearway Energy, Inc.’s CFO is Steven Ryder, effective Oct. 1. Ryder will maintain his concurrent responsibilities as CFO of Clearway Group—a position he has held for eight years, overseeing corporate finance, risk, capital markets, and financial planning. Prior to joining Clearway, Ryder served as CFO for Invenergy LLC and held financial roles with GE Energy Financial Services, the International Finance Corporation, and AT&T.
Additionally, the company announced the immediate appointment of Samantha Prout as senior vice president, accounting and controller, succeeding Rubenstein as the company’s principal accounting officer. Prout brings extensive public accounting and reporting expertise, most recently serving as chief accounting officer and controller at Amicus Therapeutics and previously holding accounting leadership roles at NRG Energy, Inc. and KPMG LLP.
