Public Service Electric and Gas Company (PSE&G) has added two major national accolades to its record, earning recognition from independent market research firm Escalent as a 2026 Most Trusted Utility Brand among residential customers for the third consecutive year, alongside being named a 2026 Most Trusted Business Partner for commercial clients.
The distinctions stem from Escalent’s 2026 Cogent Syndicated Utility Trusted Brand & Customer Engagement studies, which evaluate utilities on core drivers of customer confidence, including operational dependability, proactive communication, and overall responsiveness.
Serving roughly 2.4 million electric customers and 1.9 million gas customers across New Jersey, PSE&G emphasized that these honors reflect ongoing investments in its workforce, grid infrastructure, and robust multi-channel storm communication systems deployed before, during, and after severe weather events.

As New Jersey’s oldest and largest gas and electric delivery utility, PSE&G’s latest national recognition builds upon a foundation of operational and customer satisfaction achievements. The Newark-headquartered utility has notably secured the ReliabilityOne Award for superior Mid-Atlantic electric system reliability for 24 consecutive years and has consistently ranked high in regional customer satisfaction studies.
