Lowenstein Sandler LLP has announced the appointment of Meredith Beuchaw and Eric Weiner as Vice Chairs of the firm’s nationally recognized Emerging Companies & Venture Capital (ECVC) Group.
The promotions formalize leadership roles for both partners, who bring more than two decades of experience each across the startup and venture capital lifecycle. They join ECVC Co-founder and Vice Chair Anthony Pergola in guiding the strategic expansion of the practice, which counsels founders, startups, growth equity investors, and strategic acquirers from ideation through multi-billion-dollar liquidity events.
Beuchaw focuses extensively on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and complex exit transactions, having recently represented companies in high-profile sales to buyers such as Anthropic, Blackstone, Hellman & Friedman, and Palo Alto Networks. In addition to her legal practice, she co-leads Lowenstein’s VentureCrush network series and co-founded the firm’s Women in VC initiative.
Weiner serves as outside general corporate counsel to an array of high-growth startups, venture-backed companies, and institutional investors, guiding clients through seed and growth-equity financings, private tender offers, secondary transactions, and general corporate matters. His client roster includes well-known brands such as Brooklinen, Starface, and Graza, and he co-hosts The Founder’s Hour podcast alongside fellow ECVC partner Laura Cicirelli.
“This title elevation for Meredith and Eric reflects not a transition, but a formal recognition by the firm of the leadership they have already demonstrated,” said Ed Zimmerman, Lowenstein ECVC Chair and Co-founder. “Both have been pivotal leaders in driving the continued growth of our ECVC platform, clients, and team.”
Ranked among the top ten globally for venture capital deals and venture exits by PitchBook, Lowenstein’s ECVC Group has experienced steady nationwide scaling. Over the past two years, the practice has added six lateral partners across its technology hubs in San Francisco, Palo Alto, and New York, reinforcing a platform that has advised startups and venture funds for nearly three decades.
