Global technology public relations leader The Devon Group on Wednesday announced that managing partner Kate Achille has been named chief executive officer, effective May 1. Company founder Jeanne Achille moves into the newly created role of chief strategy officer.
The leadership transition marks a significant chapter for the firm, which launched in 1994 and has spent the last 32 years building a powerhouse reputation in HR technology and fintech. As CEO, Achille takes over day-to-day operations and the future vision of the agency.
With 20 years of experience to the role, including 14 years at The Devon Group, Achille’s diverse background includes high-level roles at the lecture agency Royce Carlton (now part of CAA), where she promoted global thought leaders such as Fareed Zakaria and Thomas Friedman, as well as recruitment marketing and employer branding at Verizon.
A Rutgers University and New School alumna, Achille’s influence extends beyond client work through her popular newsletter, The How, and her podcast, Up Next @ Work.
“Taking The Devon Group into its next chapter is the next logical step on my path,” Achille said. “Throughout my career, I have been responsible for shaping stories and messages, helping companies invigorate their brands while connecting them with new audiences. The Devon Group’s success and longevity are a testament to Jeanne’s exceptional work and indomitable spirit, and I intend to carry her standards forward.”
