Nana’s Dim Sum & Dumplings anchors retail lineup at Southend Hoboken development

The Taurasi Group recently announced that Nana’s Dim Sum & Dumplings, a rapidly expanding, acclaimed eatery known for its handmade dim sum, has signed a lease to open a 3,700-square-foot location at the mixed-use development, Southend Hoboken.

The new restaurant, located at 38 Jackson Street, will feature a liquor license and offer seating for approximately 80 guests. Expected to open by next summer, Nana’s will bring its signature blend of flavor and tradition to Hoboken’s emerging south end, serving as both a local dining destination and a dedicated amenity for residents of the new Southend Lofts condominiums.

Founded just two years ago in Colorado, Nana’s has quickly gained a devoted following, with locations already established in Boulder, Denver, and Scarsdale, NY. The Hoboken restaurant marks its continued East Coast expansion, with the brand now operating seven locations and four more in development, including a Manhattan site.

At Nana’s, the focus is on freshness and craftsmanship, with small plates, dumplings, noodles, and dim sum handmade daily.

Nick Yang, director of East Nana Holding, expressed enthusiasm for the move: “Our scouting team spent more than a year researching new markets, and we knew right away that the south end of Hoboken was the right fit for Nana’s… We look forward to bringing that spirit to Hoboken.”

The Taurasi Group is reimagining the storied industrial property—the former site of the My-T-Fine Pudding factory—into a dynamic destination featuring residential, retail, and lifestyle components.

The residential portion, Southend Lofts, just launched sales for 110 condominium homes. Residences offer unique features, including:

  • Vast interiors with virtually no two floorplans alike.
  • Ceilings up to 15-feet high.
  • Private balconies or terraces, some offering sweeping views of the Manhattan skyline.

Pricing for the homes starts at $795,000 for one-bedrooms, extending up to $3,700,000 for four- and five-bedroom duplex penthouses.

Nana’s joins a growing, curated lineup of retailers, bringing the project’s total retail space to 72% pre-leased. The new businesses will anchor and energize the development’s vibrant public atrium, a light-filled gathering space topped by a translucent PTFE canopy.

The retail line-up includes:

  • A 25,100-square-foot full-service fitness facility.

  • A 12,500-square-foot supermarket.

  • Under Pressure Espresso Bar, a craft coffee and Greek Kitchen concept.

“Nana’s is exactly the kind of tenant we envisioned for Southend Hoboken — a vibrant, high-quality restaurant that complements the residential, retail, and lifestyle elements we’re creating,” Gary Mezzatesta, managing partner of The Taurasi Group said.

Homeowners will also gain access to over 20,000 square feet of amenities, highlighted by The Overlook, an expansive rooftop terrace featuring a 40-foot pool and panoramic Manhattan views.
