Atlantic Health to host major hiring event at MetLife Stadium on March 11

System expects more than 1,000 job seekers for non-clinical and clincial roles; hundreds may receive same‑day offers

In an era when résumés often disappear into digital blackholes, Atlantic Health is turning back to the power of face‑to‑face conversations as it looks to expand its workforce.

The health system will host an open hiring event on March 11 at MetLife Stadium, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Register here)

Atlantic Health officials anticipate more than 1,000 job seekers, with hundreds expected to be hired.

Atlantic Health has been advertising its job fair at numerous locations around the state, including Newark Liberty International Airport.

Nikki Sumpter, chief administrative officer at Atlantic Health, said the organization is recruiting for both clinical and non‑clinical roles.

The biggest needs span high‑volume positions (think food service, medical office assistants, environmental services, nursing assistants, patient care technicians, patient transport and security) as well as hard‑to‑fill jobs (registered nurses, surgical technicians, sterile processing technicians, radiology and imaging technologists and EMTs).

Above all, Sumpter said the system is looking for candidates who embody Atlantic Health’s core values — values that have helped the organization frequently earn “Best Places to Work” honors.

“We’re trying to really drive qualified candidates to Atlantic as we have various needs across the system,” she said. “We want to create a hiring experience that reflects what it feels like to work at Atlantic Health, because we are a certified Best Places to Work organization.”

Atlantic Health also wins numerous honors for quality, recently being lauded by HealthGrades and U.S. News.

Dozens of Atlantic Health representatives will be on-site. This is not a simple résumé drop-off.

“Applicants will get to meet with the hiring manager, perhaps the person they may ultimately work with,” Sumpter said. “They’ll also meet other team members who can talk about the environment and what it’s like to work here.”

Jobs are available at Atlantic Health locations across the state. Some candidates may even receive same‑day job offers.

More than 750 people have already registered, and Atlantic Health expects that number to exceed 1,000. Walk‑ins will be welcomed throughout the day.

And for those whose work schedules make an 8–6 window tough, Sumpter said there’s flexibility.

“We do a lot of shift work, so we will be as accommodating as possible,” she said. “This is about making the right match — and showing why we’re a Best Places to Work organization.”

Atlantic Health is promoting the event widely, including airport advertising, billboards, outreach to past applicants, and social media campaigns. Attendance at previous MetLife hiring events has been strong enough that this marks the system’s third year hosting the job fair at the stadium.

The event will be held inside the stadium’s Coaches Club, where attendees can meet leaders, learn about benefits, and take part in program elements designed to introduce them to Atlantic Health’s workplace culture. Giveaways — perhaps even access to the field for late‑day attendees — also are planned.

Organizers say the goal is simple: give job seekers a clear look at the people, values, and opportunities that define Atlantic Health.
