Princeton Area Community Foundation appoints two new trustees to board

The Princeton Area Community Foundation announced the unanimous appointment of Aamir Rehman and Lucy Vandenberg to its Board of Trustees. The two local leaders will each serve three-year terms, bringing a wealth of experience in global finance and statewide grantmaking to the organization.

The appointments come as the Community Foundation celebrates 35 years of philanthropic impact. Since 1991, the organization has awarded more than $262 million in grants to charitable causes throughout the region.

Board Chair Marygrace Billek expressed high confidence in the new members, noting that their diverse backgrounds will strengthen the foundation’s strategic goals.

“Aamir and Lucy will be outstanding trustees,” Billek said. “They will bring additional leadership, investing and grantmaking expertise to our Board, as we continue to carry out our mission of promoting philanthropy to advance the wellbeing of our communities forever.”

Mathieu Nelessen, Community Foundation president and CEO, echoed these sentiments, highlighting the pair’s deep-rooted connection to the local community.
