Commercial real estate investment banking firm G.S. Wilcox & Co. has successfully arranged $60 million in financing for Watchung Square, a 560,000-square-foot retail property located along the high-demand Route 22 corridor in Watchung.
The transaction was structured by firm leadership—President and Founder Gretchen Wilcox, Partner Bridget Wilcox, and Principal Al Raymond—through one of the firm’s correspondent life insurance company lenders.
Constructed in 1999, the 560,000-square-foot property features strong leasing stability and national tenancy, anchored by major retailers including Stop & Shop, Walmart, TJ Maxx, Michaels, Ross Dress for Less, Staples, and PetSmart, alongside outparcels occupied by Home Depot and Target.
“We are pleased to see the completion of this transaction on behalf of our repeat client,” Gretchen Wilcox said in a prepared statement. “The attractive location and exceptional sponsorship drew strong lender interest, and we are encouraged to see the continued growth for retail investment in the area.”
Morristown-based G.S. Wilcox & Co. provides debt and equity solutions for commercial real estate owners and remains the only female-founded commercial real estate mortgage banking firm in the United States.
