Breeze Airlines adding four new destinations out of Atlantic City

Highly regarded carrier, essentially replacing Spirit’s impact at airport, adding non-stop trips to Orlando, Fort Myers, West Palm Beach and Myrtle Beach

In an immediate response to the shuttering of Spirit Airlines, Breeze Airways
announced this weekend that it is adding four new routes – to Orlando, West Palm
Beach and Fort Myers, Florida, as well as Charleston, South Carolina.

The routes will not begin immediately. Here’s the lineup:

  • Orlando: Daily nonstops, starting July 3;
  • Myrtle Beach: Nonstops on Thursdays and Sundays, starting Oct. 22;
  • Fort Myers: Nonstops on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, starting Oct. 22;
  • West Palm Beach: Nonstop on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, starting Dec.
    17.

For Breeze, which began flying out of Atlantic City earlier this year, it’s a quick increase
in service.

Its first flights start this week, with nonstop to Charleston, S.C. Breeze will begin
service to Raleigh/Durham, North Carolina on Jun 11 and Tampa on July 1.

The number of destinations offered by Breeze will more than double by the end of the
year.

SJTA Executive Director Stephen Dougherty told BreakingAC.com he was thrilled that
Breeze was stepping up.

“We appreciate Breeze Airways for its investment in Atlantic City International Airport
and its introduction of new routes that maintain service to key destinations serving our
region,” he said. “The timely launch of this service reflects the strength of the market and helps ensure passengers continue to have access to convenient, affordable
destinations.”

Breeze is well thought of.

Last week, it was recognized by TIME Magazine as one of the Most Influential
Companies list for 2026.

Breeze Airways founder and CEO David Neeleman said the airline is eager to be in
Atlantic City.

“We look forward to welcoming our first Guests from ACY onboard our flights to
Charleston this week as we celebrate this exciting expansion to even more
destinations,” he said. “We appreciate our guests and partners in the community for
their warm welcome and can’t wait to bring our convenient, elevated service to
America’s Playground.”

Of course, all of this talk will lead to more discussion of whether Atlantic City Airport should expand, a move business leaders and elected officials would love – but
one that appears to have limited support from the airline industry.
