Cooper Medical School of Rowan University (CMSRU) has appointed Dr. John Robertson as its new director of population health education and research. Robertson, who has been an integral part of the CMSRU community since its founding, will now lead the effort to expand education in this critical field for both current health care professionals and future physicians.

Robertson’s new position will also involve developing a series of stackable certificate programs that will ultimately culminate in a new master’s degree in population health management.
CMSRU Dean Annette Reboli praised Robertson’s unique qualifications for the role. “His deep expertise in clinical care and population health, combined with his passion for teaching, make him uniquely suited to lead this important initiative,” she said.
In addition to his new role, Robertson currently serves as the chief medical officer of All Care Health Alliance, an accountable care organization affiliated with Cooper University Health Care. In that capacity, he has focused on improving care for patients with complex needs. He is also a dedicated educator who works closely with CMSRU students and mentors residents.
With his extensive background in family medicine and his commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care, Robertson is well-positioned to help the medical school prepare the next generation of the health care workforce to meet the evolving needs of their communities.
