The Chemistry Council of New Jersey (CCNJ) bestowed its highest honor, the Chairman’s Award, upon two standout member companies during its 41st Annual Conference held recently at the Jersey Shore.
The 2026 accolades were presented to COIM USA (Regular Member) and Integral Consulting (Associate Member), recognizing their pivotal roles in advancing safety, environmental stewardship, and regulatory advocacy within New Jersey’s robust chemical sector.
The Chairman’s Award for Regular Member Company is reserved for organizations that exceed expectations in corporate responsibility and environmental performance. COIM USA, which established its U.S. base in West Deptford in 2005, was selected as the 2026 recipient.
Over the last 20 years, COIM has emerged as a sustainability leader, recently earning the EcoVadis Silver Medal and joining the United Nations Global Compact. The award highlights the company’s commitment to the West Deptford community and its consistent investment in New Jersey’s manufacturing infrastructure.
“We are truly honored to receive this recognition, especially as we celebrate 20 years of our company here in the United States and in New Jersey,” Michelangelo Cavallo, president of COIM USA said. “CCNJ has been an integral partner in our success.”
Integral Consulting, a CCNJ member since 2014, received the Chairman’s Award for Associate Member Company. This award recognizes firms that provide exceptional support to the Council’s advocacy and regulatory efforts.
Integral has become a go-to resource for the Council, offering high-level technical expertise on some of the state’s most pressing environmental issues, including:
- Groundwater Quality Standards: Developing technical comments to shape state regulations.
- Emerging Contaminants: Providing critical guidance on the management of PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances).
- Committee Engagement: Active participation in CCNJ’s regulatory and advocacy committees.
“This reflects our team’s commitment to helping CCNJ members navigate complex environmental and regulatory challenges,” Erin Palko, senior principal at Integral Consulting said.
The awards ceremony comes as the industry looks toward America’s 250th anniversary. CCNJ Executive Director Dennis Hart emphasized that the work of these companies is essential to the state’s economic health and quality of life.
“These companies represent an industry built on innovation and responsibility,” Hart said. “Their work helps tell the story of how chemistry continues to drive progress and strengthen our economy.”
Grant Hutchings, Chair of the CCNJ Board of Trustees, echoed the sentiment: “We are an organization that is only as strong and respected as its members. COIM and Integral exemplify the values this award represents.”
