Brick-based Marquis Health Consulting Services has achieved a prestigious milestone, being named one of America’s Greatest Midsize Workplaces for Culture, Belonging & Community 2026 by Newsweek.
The skilled nursing and senior living administrative consulting firm is one of only seven New Jersey companies to make the list. Notably, Marquis stands as the only New Jersey firm in the “hospitals and healthcare” category to receive this specific recognition for 2026.
The Newsweek ranking, developed in partnership with Plant-A Insights Group and HR analytics firm Aniline, is based on a rigorous analysis of:
- 2.6 million online employee reviews.
- Data from approximately 4,700 companies with 500 to 1,000 employees.
- Over 120 key performance indicators (KPIs), including work-life balance, compensation, and career progression.
Management diversity ratios and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) reporting also played a role in the final scoring.
Marquis supports clients across eight states along the Eastern Seaboard. Leadership credits the win to a deliberate strategy that treats workplace culture as a foundational element of healthcare excellence.
“Our focus on culture is intentional and woven into everything we do; for us, it starts with a mindset that organizational success grows out of how you make employees feel,” said Hilly Hill, Marquis’ Chief Brand Officer. “Professionals in senior care are some of the hardest-working in the nation. It’s not about a job for them—it’s about a life’s work.”
Barry Munk, CEO of Marquis, noted that this internal culture has a direct “trickle-down” effect on patient care. “That collective sense of purpose is the heart of our success. In turn, we see this translate to the teams at the skilled nursing centers we support and, ultimately, the patients they serve.”
According to Newsweek Editor-In-Chief Jennifer Cunningham, the ranking is designed to help professionals identify companies that go beyond the paycheck. “Today’s employees seek environments where they feel valued, heard, and connected,” Cunningham stated. “Companies that embrace these principles don’t just attract top talent; they create spaces where people from all walks of life can collaborate, innovate, and thrive.”
This is not the firm’s only accolade this year; Marquis was also named to Newsweek’s America’s Greatest Midsize Workplaces in Health Care 2026, further solidifying its reputation as a regional leader in the sector.
