Cooper University Health Care ranked and recognized nationally in 14 specialties

Camden-based Cooper University Health Care, once again, has been recognized among the best hospitals in New Jersey and the Philadelphia metropolitan area by U.S. News & World Report’s 2025 Best Hospitals.

The rankings released Tuesday, list Cooper as No, 7 in New Jersey and No. 7 in the Philadelphia Metro area, up from No. 11 last year, reinforcing its position as the leading academic health system in southern New Jersey.

In addition to its regional rankings, Cooper was rated High Performing — the highest designation awarded by U.S. News — in 14 adult specialties and conditions, including:

  • Abdominal aortic aneurysm repair
  • Aortic valve surgery
  • Colon cancer surgery
  • Diabetes
  • Gynecological cancer surgery
  • Heart arrhythmia
  • Heart bypass surgery
  • Heart failure
  • Leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma
  • Pneumonia
  • Prostate cancer surgery
  • Stroke
  • Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR)
  • Maternity care (uncomplicated pregnancy)

Cooper was also named among the Best Regional Hospitals for Community Access, which recognizes institutions that deliver high-quality care to underserved communities — a designation that reflects Cooper’s long-standing commitment to the communities it serves.
