As part of its continuous effort to revitalize health care services across Hudson County, Hudson Regional on Wednesday announced two key leadership appointments: Paige Dworak will serve as chief operating officer of the system while Dr. Michael Hochberg will serve as chief hospital executive for Bayonne Medical Center.
Hudson Regional Hospital now operates a network of four acute care facilities comprising Hudson Regional Hospital in Secaucus, Bayonne Medical Center, Hoboken University Medical Center and Christ Hospital in Jersey City.
Hudson Regional Hospital CEO Dr. Nizar Kifaieh said finding top employee was a key priority.
“These appointments are part of our long-term strategy to rebuild and reimagine care across Hudson County,” he said. “With Paige and Dr. Hochberg’s leadership, we are confident that our hospitals will become models of quality, innovation, and patient-centered care.”
Hudson Regional Chair Yan Moshe agreed.
“From the moment we assumed leadership of Hudson Regional Hospital in 2018, we’ve been driven by a clear vision to transform health care in Hudson County,” he said. “Through persistence and a steadfast commitment to that vision, we are now delivering a preeminent healthcare solution for the region.”
Dworak brings more than two decades of health care leadership experience. She most recently served as President and CEO of CareWell Health Medical Center in East Orange, where she led significant improvements in hospital operations and community health outcomes.
In her new position, Dworak will oversee the operations of Hudson Regional Health’s hospital network — including Bayonne Medical Center, Hoboken University Medical Center, and Christ Hospital in Jersey City — with a focus on streamlining services, enhancing clinical performance and ensuring a consistent, patient-centered approach across all facilities.
Hochberg, a seasoned physician leader, brings a unique combination of clinical expertise and executive leadership to his new role. He previously served as corporate chief quality officer and associate chief medical officer at Steward Health Care, where he led initiatives focused on patient safety and clinical integration.
In his new role, Hochberg will lead efforts to enhance care delivery, improve operational efficiency, and drive a culture of clinical excellence.
