Provident Bank, a financial institution based in Iselin with an expansive network across New Jersey, Eastern Pennsylvania, and parts of New York, has significantly strengthened its leadership team. The bank officially announced the appointment of Renee Altomonte as executive vice president, Retail Banking director.

In her new role, Altomonte will report directly to Vito Giannola, executive vice president, Chief Banking officer, and will be tasked with overseeing the entire branch network. Her core mandate is to drive the overall success of the retail bank through strategic planning, optimizing branch operations, and leading all retail sales and service initiatives.

Crucially, Altomonte will be responsible for executing the retail bank’s strategy aimed at meeting key business objectives: growing deposits, expanding the customer base, and delivering an exceptional customer experience across the bank’s regional footprint.

Experience to propel growth

Altomonte brings more than 30 years of experience as a results-driven leader in the financial services sector, with a proven track record of driving sales growth and ensuring operational excellence. Her wide-ranging background is expected to be instrumental in advancing Provident Bank’s growth, innovation, and profitability. Prior to joining Provident Bank, she held several senior leadership roles at TD Bank.

“I am pleased to welcome Renee as our new Retail Banking Director,” Giannola said. “Her exceptional track record of delivering results will be instrumental as we continue to execute our strategy for growing deposits and our customer base… Renee’s passion for success aligns with our commitment to place our customers, team members, and communities at the center of all we do.”

Altomonte expressed enthusiasm for her new leadership position, highlighting the bank’s reputation and community ties.

“I am thrilled to join Provident Bank and contribute to its legacy as a successful and highly regarded financial institution with deep community roots,” she said. “My objective is to leverage my experience in leading high-performing teams and developing customer-centric strategies to enhance the bank’s retail operations, drive profitable growth, and further the bank’s commitment to delivering an exceptional experience for both customers and employees.”
