Law firm Cole Schotz P.C. on Wednesday announced it successfully represented Benmark Capital in securing a $38 million refinancing loan for a large-scale multifamily portfolio in Paterson.
The transaction involved the complex coordination and simultaneous closing of 22 separate properties. The portfolio comprises a total of 203 residential units and six commercial units, featuring a diverse mix of apartment sizes ranging from studios to three-bedroom residences. Currently boasting a 99% occupancy rate, the portfolio consists of both dedicated multifamily assets and mixed-use properties.
The refinancing was managed by a multidisciplinary team of attorneys at Cole Schotz. The team was led by firm members Leo Leyva and Drew Barone.
