Customized Distribution Services (CDS) announced a strategic partnership between its management team, New Orleans-based private equity firm LongueVue Capital (LVC), and West Palm Beach-based Lake Ten Capital Partners (LTCP) to recapitalize the company and fuel its next phase of expansion.
Headquartered in Wharton, New Jersey, CDS is a third-party logistics (3PL) warehouse and distribution provider operating across New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Missouri, and California. The company manages 2 million square feet of food-grade multi-site and dedicated warehouse space, delivering tailored warehousing, fulfillment, inventory management, distribution, and value-added services.
Following the transaction, CDS’s senior leadership team—including President and CEO Adalberto Guerra, COO Joe Leccesse, CFO Elise Adams, and VP of Human Resources Ben Mera—will remain in place to guide the company’s core relationships and long-term vision.
“Our team of long-tenured executives, managers, and employees is thrilled to be partnering with LVC and LTCP,” Adalberto Guerra, president & CEO of CDS, said. “In addition to their industry experience and strategic resources, LVC’s partnership-first mentality and LTCP’s established relationship with the Company made them the ideal partners for our next phase of growth.”
The partnership aims to leverage LVC’s extensive background in the transportation and logistics sector—marking LongueVue Capital’s eighth platform investment in transportation and logistics (T&L) to date—alongside LTCP’s capital and operational backing.
Investors highlighted CDS’s strong operating framework and deep sector roots as primary drivers for the collaboration.
“It has been clear since our first meeting with them that the management team at CDS has a keen focus on operating high-quality facilities, offering value-added services, and putting customers first,” Scott McWilliams, LVC’s Transportation & Logistics Operating Partner, said.
Paul Psak, Managing Partner at Lake Ten Capital Partners, added that the venture represents LTCP’s inaugural platform investment alongside LVC. Both private equity firms intend to supply strategic and financial resources to broaden CDS’s geographic footprint and scale its service offerings into emerging markets.
