Commvault, a Tinton Falls leader in unified enterprise-scale resilience, announced a new multi-year strategic partnership with Microsoft on Wednesday to integrate its AI and cyber resilience technologies directly into the Microsoft Azure cloud platform.
The collaboration will see Commvault’s resilience capabilities delivered as a “native ISV service” on Azure. This integration allows Azure customers to discover, provision, and manage Commvault’s data protection and cyber recovery tools seamlessly within the Azure environment, eliminating the need for separate infrastructure or manual external integrations.
As organizations rapidly scale their use of artificial intelligence and face increasingly sophisticated cyber threats, data security has become a board-level priority. This partnership is designed to help enterprises address these pressures by providing a unified experience for procurement, onboarding, and operations.

The integrated service is aimed at helping large-scale organizations—including those in banking, healthcare, and retail—modernize their infrastructure while managing rising cyber risks:
- Resilient AI Adoption: The service provides integrated recovery capabilities specifically tailored for AI-driven workflows on Azure, enabling faster innovation while ensuring data recoverability.
- Seamless Native Experience: Customers can manage Commvault’s resilience tools alongside their existing Azure services through a consistent, unified interface.
- Simplified Procurement: Organizations can purchase Commvault Cloud through the Microsoft Marketplace and apply the spend toward their Microsoft Azure Consumption Commitment (MACC), streamlining budget management and cloud investment.
