Vineland Walmart Supercenter unveils major remodel with modern, customer-focused features

The Walmart Supercenter at 1070 W Landis Ave in Vineland celebrated the completion of its highly anticipated remodel this week, welcoming customers into a transformed store designed to offer a more convenient and engaging shopping experience.

The project is part of Walmart’s commitment to providing customers with a best-in-class assortment, competitive prices, and a seamless shopping experience, whether in-store or online.

The reopening was commemorated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a community celebration attended by Vineland Mayor Anthony Fanucci and the Vineland High School ROTC.

Store manager Mike Johnson said the remodel was driven by a desire to better serve the community.

“This transformation not only brings exciting new features and improvements to our store but also reflects our deep commitment to better serving the community,” Johnson said. “We’re proud to provide a refreshed, more convenient shopping environment that meets the evolving needs of our customers.”

The new-look store features a variety of customer-centric upgrades, including:

  • Interactive Displays: Departments now feature engaging vignette displays that allow customers to “touch, feel, and become a part of the space.”
  • Enhanced Departments: The store boasts a more expansive pet department and an updated apparel section with a wider range of brands.
  • Digital Touchpoints: Throughout the store, new digital screens and QR codes provide information on Walmart’s vast product assortment and services available online.
  • Improved Layout: The store’s reconfigured layout provides more space for customers to navigate and discover products.
  • Exterior and Interior Refresh: New signage and updated landscaping make the store easier to navigate, both inside and out.

During the celebration, the store recognized several long-term associates for their years of service, including Michael Johnson (33 years), Dawn Berry (31 years), and Jana Wilkie (30 years).

Walmart in Vineland unveiled a new mural designed by Angelina Xi that celebrates the city’s rich blend of Puerto Rican and Italian American heritage that defines the community.

In a gesture of community support, Walmart also presented a $1,000 Spark Good local grant to Sound Mind & Sound Body of New Jersey, an organization dedicated to advancing opportunities for youth in under-resourced communities.

The ceremony concluded with the unveiling of a new mural designed and illustrated by Angelina Xi. The mural is a vibrant tribute to Vineland’s local culture and diversity, featuring two women dancing to represent the rich blend of Puerto Rican and Italian American heritage celebrated in the community.
