Preferred Behavioral Health Group (PBHG), a prominent New Jersey nonprofit provider of mental health and recovery services, announced on Friday a strategic restructuring of its Board of Trustees. The organization has appointed Michael Kokes as chair and Jennifer Godoski as vice chair, alongside two new trustees, Dr. Catherine Cunningham and Pamela Major.
The new leadership team arrives as PBHG, which has served the state since 1978, prepares for a new chapter of growth focused on trauma-informed care and systemwide innovation.
PBHG CEO Tara Chalakani expressed high confidence in the appointments, noting that the collective expertise of the new board members spans real estate, public policy, clinical psychiatry and community advocacy.
“Each brings extraordinary talent, passion, and leadership that will help us advance our mission of delivering high-quality, compassionate behavioral health services,” Chalakani said.
