Timely honor: Optima Global Solutions named to INC 5000

Hamilton-based IT firm, a stellar performer for more than two decades, makes list for third time since 2011

The INC 5000 list of the fastest growing companies in the country is based upon the growth rate of a business over a three-year period. As such, it’s common to find startups that had explosive early success.

Hamilton-based Optima Global Solutions does not fit that mold.

The company, founded in 2001, provides solutions, services and consulting resources that help progressive organizations automate their internal business processes. And it has had continual growth for more than two decades.

Its most recent growth spurt — its revenues are up 85% over the past three years — helped it earn a spot on the list for the third time in its history.

CEO Mahesh Yadav obviously was thrilled.

Mahesh Yadav

“When I founded Optima Global Solutions in 2001, the goal was to facilitate transformation within the IT space,” he said. “Our deep experience in facilitating transformation for over two decades at major enterprises, puts us in a unique position to answer the call for next generation AI and automation capabilities.”

Optima, which first appeared on the INC 5000 list in 2011, came in this year at No. 4,084 overall, 315 in the IT Services Category, 104 in New Jersey – and No. 8 in the Trenton-Princeton area.

And it is far from being an overnight sensation. Of course, that was the plan all along.

Soon to enter its 25th year in business, Yadav said Optima Global Solutions was established on the core pillars of people, process, strategy and transformation.

The goal, he said, was to carve out a niche in providing strategic staffing, custom solutions development and automation and – wait for it – AI-based solutions.

Yadav said Optima was using AI long before it became a buzzword in the industry.

And Optima has been a pillar in the community long before corporate social responsibility became the rage.

An avid golfer, Yadav founded the South Asian Golf Association. The mission, he said, is to bring South Asian Golfers together from across the world and to promote golf as a sport in the South Asian Community.

That promotion involves giving back.

Last year, the group awarded three scholarships ($1,650 each) to deserving college students.

And Yadav serves as secretary of the Board of Directors for First Tee of Greater Trenton, a group that aims to help kids build strength of character that empowers them through the seamless integration of the game of golf with life skills.

Moving forward, Yadav said he will continue to court a diverse list of clients, including higher education and government to manufacturing and financial services.

“We continue to prioritize a boutique approach, emphasizing quality, innovation and new technologies,” Yadav said. “The Inc 5000 ranking only re-affirms our commitment to delivering strategic value.”
