Tom Bergeron is the co-founder, co-owner and editor-in-chief of BINJE, where he serves as the publication’s lead reporter and public face. One of New Jersey’s most recognized journalists, he brings more than 30 years of experience covering the state’s business and sports landscape.

Bergeron is known for breaking major stories — including the cancellation of the World Cup Fan Festival, Nokia Bell Labs’ move to New Brunswick and New Jersey’s billion-dollar offer to bring the Philadelphia 76ers to Camden — and for securing exclusive interviews with top leaders across industry and government. As a sought-after moderator, he has led fireside chats with executives such as United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby, Johnson & Johnson CEO Joaquin Duato and former New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy.

Known for being everywhere, Bergeron covers business across all sectors and all corners of the state, and has reported internationally from Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Great Britain and Canada.

He has been honored repeatedly for his writing and editing, but he is most proud of the recognition he has received from the African American Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey, ARC and the N.J. Manufacturing Extension Program for elevating communities and industries too often overlooked.

Before co-founding BINJE with his wife, Lori Campos Bergeron, he helped launch ROI-NJ and ran NJBiz. He spent the first half of his career at The Star-Ledger/NJ.com, rising to sports editor while helping guide the newsroom into the 24/7 era, before working at Yahoo!.

He is a graduate of the University of Virginia.
