Dr. Geurys Rojas-Marte was recently named the new medical director of advanced heart failure and pulmonary hypertension at Deborah Heart and Lung Center in Browns Mills.
Rojas-Marte started at Deborah in June and brings with him a wealth of expertise from his most recent role as director of the Heart Failure program at Northwell Staten Island University Hospital. He also served as faculty in the Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology program at Northwell North Shore University Hospital.
“I look forward to leading Deborah’s Advanced Heart Failure and Pulmonary Hypertension services, ensuring patients in the region have access to cutting-edge treatment options close to home,” Rojas-Marte said.
Board-certified in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology, Cardiovascular Diseases, Echocardiography and Internal Medicine, Rojas-Marte earned his Doctor of Medicine magna cum laude from Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo. He completed his Cardiology fellowship at Rutgers University where he also served as Chief Academic Fellow and went on to pursue an Advanced Heart Failure/Transplant fellowship at the University of Florida.
