Golden Nugget Atlantic City has officially announced the promotion of Kevin Scull to general manager and senior vice president. A veteran of the property’s executive team, Scull steps into the role with a mandate to oversee all day-to-day operations and drive the resort’s next phase of growth.
Scull’s promotion comes after more than a decade of leadership at the Marina District property. Since joining Golden Nugget in 2011, he has climbed the ranks through several pivotal roles, including:
- Director of Food and Beverage
- Vice President of Food and Beverage
- Assistant General Manager and Vice President
Gerry Del Prete, Chief Operating Officer of Gaming, praised Scull’s “institutional knowledge” and “long-standing commitment” to the brand. Under Scull’s tenure as Assistant GM, the property saw significant financial growth.
One of his most visible successes was the integration of the Jimmy Johnson “Quest for the Ring” Championship Fishing Week. Based at the Farley Marina, the event provided a major boost to the local economy, generating an estimated $5 million impact for the Atlantic City region.
Beyond the casino floor, Scull is a well-known figure in the South Jersey hospitality and philanthropic landscape. His current and past contributions include:
- Chairperson: ARC of Atlantic County Development Committee.
- Leadership Roles: South Jersey Chef’s Association and the Ocean City Restaurant Association.
- Education: Adjunct instructor and advisory board member at Atlantic Cape Community College.
