Branchburg’s APS Corporation joins national leader Pye-Barker Fire & Safety

In a move that significantly bolsters New Jersey’s life safety and security infrastructure, Branchburg-based APS Corporation has been acquired by Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, the nation’s largest fully integrated fire protection and security provider.

The acquisition marks a major expansion for Pye-Barker within the Garden State, aimed at deepening operational capacity and growing local service teams to meet the needs of a diverse client base ranging from small businesses to Fortune 100 corporations.

Founded in 1981 by Daniel F. Jacquish, APS Corporation was built on a foundation of law enforcement experience. Over the last four decades, the company has become a staple in Central Jersey, specializing in:

  • Security & Fire Alarms: Full-scale installation, service, and inspection.
  • Advanced Integration: Expertise in CAD, RPS, and remote system diagnostics.
  • Sector Specialization: Proven success managing complex systems for the pharmaceutical, education, and government sectors.

The transition to Pye-Barker is expected to be seamless for current clients, as APS’s skilled technicians will continue to serve their New Jersey territories under the new partnership.

For APS leadership, the decision to join a national powerhouse was driven by the desire to provide local clients with superior resources and support.

“National resources are so impactful for local organizations looking to make a difference,” said Scott Jacquish, President and CEO at APS. “Our partnership with Pye-Barker allows us to take our mission to the next level, providing the gold standard in security and fire alarm services to our customers with the support of a team we know has our back.”

Bart Proctor, CEO of Pye-Barker, noted that APS’s adaptability and reputation for excellence made them a natural fit for Pye-Barker’s growing New Jersey footprint. “I’m looking forward to integrating the APS team into that mission as we work to consistently elevate our integrated fire protection and security services,” Proctor added.

Pye-Barker’s acquisition of APS is the latest in a series of strategic moves that have solidified its position as the industry’s “acquirer of choice.” With over 250 locations and 9,000 team members nationwide, the company is ranked No. 3 on the SDM 100 and is a mainstay on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies.

In this transaction, Pye-Barker was represented by Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough, LLP.
