Norcross Foundation and Cooper Foundation to sponsor Phillies games for Camden Police Department members

The Norcross Foundation and the Cooper Foundation have sponsored tickets for select Philadelphia Phillies games this summer for members of the Camden Police Department.

Camden Police Department members will receive four tickets at one of four home games at Citizens Bank Park on a first come basis.

The Norcross and Cooper Foundations are donating $120,000 to the Camden County Police Foundation for the purchase of the tickets.

Camden City officers will be eligible to choose among four (4) games:

  • Saturday, June 20th, 7:15 pm vs. the Mets
  • Sunday, July 19th, 1:35 pm vs. the Mets
  • Saturday, August 8th, 6:05 pm vs. the Blue Jays
  • Saturday, August 22nd, 6:05 pm vs. the Cardinals

Camden Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez praised the generation donation and what it means for the force.

“I want to applaud the generosity and benevolence of both these foundations not only for this gift, but also for the work they do every day to make the city a better place to live, work and raise a family,” he said. This gift ensures that our team knows they are appreciated for their ongoing commitment to our community in the city.”

In part of the donation, Chair of the Norcross Foundation Lexie Norcross praised the city’s work of drastically improving public safety and crime efforts.

“We are so proud to recognize the amazing work of every member of the Camden Police Department by giving back this summer,” she said.

“Camden has rightly won national and international praise for its transformation from the nation’s most violent city to one where crime is at a 50 year low and there were no murders over the winter — success that are due to the hard work and dedication of its officers.”

Camden has indeed become a national success story at improving public safety. Since 2013 when the city’s police force was disbanded and replaced with a new, County-led community policing focused force. In 2025, Camden, achieved its first homicide-free summer in 50 years. Since 2012, homicides in the city of Camden have fallen 82 percent.
