Michelle Timoni, a veteran government affairs professional for agencies and elected officials, recently joined MAD Global Strategy as a director, the firm announced.
Timoni, who will be part of MAD Global’s Trenton lobbying operation, will be focused on government affairs and public affairs for clients including the labor and health care sectors.
Prior to joining MAD Global, Timoni served as a Senior Account Director for MikeWorldWide (MWW) where she coordinated and executed government affairs, public relations and public affairs strategies for clients.
She also has worked in New Jersey politics for several years, serving as chief of staff to Assemblyman Roy Freiman, and press secretary in the Assembly Majority Office under Speaker Craig Coughlin.
In addition, Timoni worked for the Middlesex County Democratic Organization helping to run campaign operations on the local, county and state level. She is a graduate of Rutgers University.
The announcement of Timoni’s hiring was applauded by MAD Global Founder and CEO Mike DuHaime.
“From her experience on the campaign trail to the State House, Michelle understands the messages and tactics our clients need to communicate to breakthrough,” he said. “Her strategic advice will serve our clients well as they navigate the rapidly changing political and media landscape.”
MAD Global Partner Laura Matos was equally effusive.
“Michelle is an incredible addition to our team,” she said. “She has an incredibly deep understanding of how policy, politics, and press work together in New Jersey.
“Clients can feel assured that if Michelle is on the team, you are getting the job done and getting it done well. I am thrilled to welcome Michelle to our team and work with her to deliver meaningful results for our clients.”
MAD Global Managing Partner Justin Braz, who heads the Trenton team, was thrilled.
“Michelle is a trusted advisor to many legislators and key stakeholders in New Jersey,” he said. “Her understanding of the political landscape, shaped by her experience in both the legislature and on campaigns, will be a tremendous asset to MAD Global and our clients.”
