United Methodist Communities Foundation raises over $50K to support senior living

Neptune-based United Methodist Communities Foundation (UMCF) celebrated its 40th anniversary with a fundraising cruise aboard the River Queen in Brielle late last month.

The celebration, themed “Anchored in Generosity,” raised over $50,000 to support the foundation’s four decades of impact and its mission to advance sustainable community living and compassionate care for seniors.  United Methodist funding supports programs, housing, and health care initiatives.

“We’re grateful to everyone who joined us and has supported our mission over the years,” Jim Roberts, vice president of the UMC Foundation said. “This anniversary was not only a celebration of our past but a reaffirmation of our commitment to ensuring that New Jersey seniors live their most abundant lives.”

Guests included supporters from across the state, as well as UMC residents Rose and Eva from Covenant Place, who shared heartfelt stories about how the generosity of UMC and its supporters has profoundly impacted their lives.

Special recognition goes to Visionary Tier sponsors, whose leadership and generosity helped make the event possible:

  • Caring Communities
  • EcoLab
  • Eklego
  • Hackensack Meridian Health
  • Princeton Strategic Communications
