Prominent regional law firm Pashman Stein Walder Hayden P.C. announced Friday that Donald Clarke joined the firm as a partner. Clarke will split his time between the firm’s Bankruptcy, Restructuring & Creditors’ Rights and Litigation practices, bringing deep corporate restructuring and insolvency experience to the firm’s headquarters in Hackensack.
Clarke arrives at Pashman Stein following a successful tenure as a partner at Genova Burns LLC, where he similarly specialized in complex commercial litigation, corporate reorganizations, and creditors’ rights.
The addition of Clarke comes at a time of increased demand for formal debt-restructuring mechanisms. In his new role, Clarke will continue advising a broad suite of corporate stakeholders, including debtors-in-possession seeking to minimize corporate liabilities, chapter 7 and 11 trustees executing asset liquidations, and institutional creditors working to maximize their financial recovery.

Beyond traditional courtroom bankruptcy filings, Clarke routinely assists private equity funds and corporate investors looking to acquire distressed assets out of bankruptcy through highly structured financial transactions. His experience spanning federal, state, and local regulatory schemes additionally allows him to counsel corporate clients through out-of-court workouts and corporate reorganizations.
