Atlantic Health names David Nosacka as CFO

Nosacka, who most recently led finance for a 12-hospital system in Washington state, takes over as executive vice president and chief financial officer in August

Atlantic Health has named David Nosacka as its executive vice president and chief financial officer, effective Friday, the Morristown-based health system announced.

Nosacka, who comes to Atlantic from Washington state, will oversee financial strategy and performance across the system, including accounting, treasury, revenue cycle, financial planning, capital planning, managed care, supply chain, and real estate and construction.

His role also will include the Atlantic Health Venture Studio, the system’s arm for investing in health care startups and co-developed care solutions.

“David is a proven leader with the ideal blend of strategic and operational thinking to navigate the challenges of a rapidly evolving healthcare environment,” Atlantic Health CEO Saad Ehtisham said.

“His 25 years of experience in integrated systems, academic medical centers, and community hospitals will have a meaningful impact on patient access and experience, while driving sustainable growth and fiscal discipline across our system.”

Nosacka joins Atlantic Health from Virginia Mason Franciscan Health in Washington state, part of Common Spirit Health, where he served as senior vice president and chief financial officer. There, he oversaw financial strategy for 12 hospitals, 300 sites of care, 18,000 employees and 500,000 patients covered under value-based care arrangements. He played a role in the system’s post-pandemic financial recovery, the integration of Virginia Mason and Franciscan Health, and an expansion of ambulatory care.

“It is a tremendous honor to be selected for this role,” he said. “After meeting with Saad, the leadership team and members of the Board of Trustees, I am incredibly excited about joining the dedicated and talented Atlantic Health team. I look forward to giving my very best every day to build an even stronger health system.”

Nosacka previously held finance leadership roles at Hospital Sisters Health System in Illinois, LHP Hospital Group in Texas and Creighton University Medical Center in Nebraska.

He holds a master’s degree in health administration from Tulane University and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of New Orleans.
