Brian Satz and two of his team join Stevens & Lee

Stevens & Lee announced on Thursday that Brian Satz has joined its firm as a shareholder in the Bergen County office. He is joined by two associates, Ariel Kirshenbaum and Nathania Lim from Satz Law Group, a boutique corporate and commercial transactional law firm founded by Satz in 2009.

“Brian brings a valuable combination of transactional capability and a client-first mindset that complements our approach to client service,” Stevens & Lee President and CEO William P. Thornton, Jr. said. “We’re excited to have the Satz team join our vibrant and growing Bergen office and look forward to the many synergies our work together will bring.”

Satz represents start-up and middle-market companies in merger and acquisition transactions, joint ventures, and equity and debt financing transactions. He also serves as outside general counsel to many of his clients. Additionally, Satz represents high-net-worth individuals, private equity funds and other investors in connection with their investments and other transactional matters. He earned his J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and B.A. from the University of California, Riverside.

The Satz Team joins the firm’s corporate, finance and Capital Markets Department, which recently expanded by nine lawyers through the firm’s merger with 16-lawyer Providence, RI-based Duffy & Sweeney.
