Coral Harbor opens in-facility hemodialysis unit in a skilled nursing setting

Coral Harbor Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Neptune City has become the first skilled nursing facility in New Jersey to integrate home hemodialysis into its clinical services. The center recently celebrated the opening of its new, in-facility Dialysis Unit with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The groundbreaking offering is designed to provide next-level care aimed directly at meeting a critical health care demand in Monmouth County and the surrounding region.

“The Coral Harbor and Marquis teams were delighted to celebrate the opening of this progressive new Dialysis Unit with Mayor McGreevy and our VIP guests,” said Kate Bauer, regional director of market development at Marquis Health Consulting Services, which supports the center. “This offering is another example of Coral Harbor’s next-level skilled nursing care and services.”

The four-chair Dialysis Unit operates in partnership with Dialyze Direct and is equipped to treat complex patients, including those who are tracheostomy dependent.

Local dignitaries, including Neptune City Mayor Rachel McGreevy, participated in the ribbon-cutting ceremony held at the facility, located at 2050 6th Avenue. The festivities included the reading of a Citation from New Jersey’s 11th Legislative District.

Coral Harbor provides post-hospital care, short-term rehabilitation, and long-term residential care. The center has consistently been recognized for its quality, having been named among America’s Best Nursing Homes 2026 by Newsweek for the second consecutive year, and maintaining a Five-Star Overall rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
