Elmwood Park-based Ellkay has been part of an effort to help health care organizations of all types prepare for the future of digital care.
That’s why CEO Ajay Kapare was thrilled to go to the White House last week for the launch of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ Digital Health Ecosystem and Interoperability Framework.
Kapare joined the heads of other leading health care and technology organizations that have committed to supporting CMS’s vision of a modern, standards-based digital health ecosystem. As part of this pledge, Kapare said Ellkay remains focused on advancing interoperability solutions that intend to enable smarter workflows, better outcomes, and more connected care experiences for all.
The event marked a significant milestone in CMS’s ongoing efforts to foster a healthcare environment that is more open, patient-centered, and digitally connected. The new framework aims to accelerate industry-wide collaboration around digital health tools, interoperability standards, and secure data exchange – key focus areas that align closely with ELLKAY’s mission.
Kapare said Ellkay is all-in on the concept.
“This initiative reinforces the momentum we’re seeing across the industry to break down information silos, streamline healthcare operations, and give both providers and patients access to meaningful, actionable insights,” he said. “Interoperability is no longer a barrier — it’s the engine driving healthcare forward. Interoperability is about more than just connecting software – it’s about connecting care.”
