Mid-Atlantic legal firm Flaster Greenberg has officially turned the page on a new chapter, implementing a major organizational overhaul designed to ditch traditional hierarchies for a more agile, collaborative approach.
Effective Jan. 1, the firm has consolidated its diverse array of legal experts into three core departments: Business Transactions, Litigation and Disputes, and Intellectual Property. Each is helmed by a Department Chair supported by specialized Practice Group Leaders.
The move comes as a direct response to a rapidly shifting business landscape where AI, cybersecurity, and complex regulatory hurdles have become the new normal.
“This restructuring reflects our commitment to staying ahead of the curve,” Co-Managing Shareholder Jordan LaVine said. “Advances in technology and digitization have led clients to ask more complex questions and expect faster, practical, and solution-oriented guidance.”
By fostering deeper specialization—such as the creation of a dedicated Artificial Intelligence, Privacy & Cybersecurity practice—the firm aims to provide more scalable solutions to Fortune 500 corporations and entrepreneurs alike.
Flaster Greenberg has long been recognized as a “Best Place to Work” in both New Jersey and Philadelphia, known for its transparent compensation and democratic governance. This new structure doubles down on those values by implementing a “rotating leadership” model, where Department Chairs and Practice Group Leaders serve initial two-year terms.
“We are empowering our attorneys to innovate, grow, and work together in ways that strengthen both our firm and the value we provide to clients,” added Co-Managing Shareholder Steven Poulathas.
Under the refreshed framework, the three departments will be led by:
| Department | Department Chair | Key Practice Groups Include |
| Business Transactions | Tami Bogutz Steinberg | Aviation, Energy, M&A, Real Estate, Tax, Trusts & Estates |
| Litigation and Disputes | Adam Gersh | Commercial Litigation, Family Law, Insurance, Labor & Employment, Sports Law, Transportation |
| Intellectual Property | Michael Piscitelli | AI & Cybersecurity, IP Litigation, Patents, Trademarks & Copyrights |
Founded over 50 years ago as a two-lawyer tax boutique, Flaster Greenberg has evolved into a formidable midsize firm with offices across New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, Delaware, and Florida. This 2026 restructuring marks its most significant move toward an “enterprise-wide” leadership model since its transition to a rotating management committee in the 1990s.
