Abbey True Harris has joined Connell Foley as a partner in its Regulatory Affairs and Compliance Group, the firm announced Wednesday.
In this role, Harris will leverage her expansive law firm, government and private industry experience to support clients across regulatory, legislative and governmental processes, including providing counsel on complex litigation and appellate law, the firm said.
In addition to her legal practice, she will direct a firmwide community engagement program to amplify Connell Foley’s long-standing commitment to pro bono services.

“We are thrilled to welcome such an invaluable talent to our team, and I look forward to working together to serve the firm’s clients and significantly expand our strong commitment to community service and pro bono legal work.” Harris’ high-level government service includes recently serving as chief counsel of the New Jersey Senate Majority Office, where she interfaced at the highest levels, and provided legal guidance on legislative matters and policy initiatives affecting state residents.
In the private sector, Harris most recently worked as chief legal officer and senior vice president of external affairs at Reciprocal Management Corporation. Previously, as director of legal affairs and complex litigation at N.J. Physicians United Reciprocal Exchange, she oversaw complex litigation on behalf of medical providers, and executed health care-related legislative, amicus, and reform initiatives. Harris has significant experience in highly regulated industries such as affordable housing, insurance, health care, and long-term care.
